Signature Events
Celebrating CAES
Join us for our annual signature event honoring the donors, alumni, and friends whose generosity and support help fuel the success of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. This inspiring evening shines a spotlight on the groundbreaking research, innovative programs, and extraordinary people who make CAES a leader in solving the world’s most pressing challenges—from food and health to climate and sustainability. Join us as we celebrate the impact of giving and the future it helps grow.
Our 2025 event will take place on Wednesday, October 15 at the ARC Ballroom. Registration will be available on August 1.
Award of Distinction
The college presents the Award of Distinction to honor individuals whose contributions and achievements have positively impacted our communities, advanced science and education or enhanced the college’s ability to serve California and the world. In the past this has been in an annual event and starting in 2025 we will be moving it to be a biannual event.
Nominations are now open for Award of Distinction 2026. This event recognizes the accomplishments of outstanding alumni, young alumni, friends, faculty, emeriti faculty and staff.
The date for our 2026 event will be available in February 2026.

Campaign Celebration
On October 17, 2024 we hosted an evening of celebration as we toasted to the success of our Expect Greater Comprehensive Campaign and expressed our gratitude to the donors who made this possible. We were able to experience the college's mission in motion through interactive research showcases and enjoy the beauty of the Good Life Garden at the Robert Mondavi Institute. Coffee & Conversations
Join us for a virtual coffee chats on the latest news and updates with our CA&ES Department Chairs! Grab your favorite cozy beverage and get a front row seat to hear updates on groundbreaking research and how undergraduate students are being supported to follow your footsteps in addressing some of the world's most pressing challenges. After a brief presentation, Department Chairs will open the floor to your questions ending with by a raffle of fun UC Davis swag to share your Aggie pride!

Picnic Day: Donuts with the Dean
Friends, families and the CA&ES community are invited to join us this 112th Picnic Day for Donuts with new Dean Ashley Stokes on Saturday, April 18, 2026! This casual event will help you kick-off your Picnic Day before you enjoy the parade. The parade grandstands are a short 2 minute walk from our location.
All are welcome. Registration for this event will be open in February 2026.
Regional Events
CA&ES annually goes on the road to highlight faculty and research. As dates and locations are confirmed, more information will be provided.
