Students receive general and comprehensive advising along their paths to graduation provided by faculty, staff and peer advisors.

Types of Advisors
Staff College Advisors
Advisors in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences assist with general advising questions about university and college requirements. Advisors also connect students with campus resources and serve as an initial advising point of contact for all students in the college from application to graduation. Staff Major and Minor advisors
Major advisors in each department can advise you on courses, specific requirements for each major and minor, and career opportunities. You are strongly encouraged to consult with your major advisor each quarter before selecting your courses. Faculty Advisors
Each department has faculty advisors to assist you with in-depth advising relating to your major. They may guide you in class selection, connect you with internships, or provide career or graduate school advise. Peer Advisors
Peer advisors are available both in the college and in most majors. Peer advisors are undergraduate students who are skilled at assisting with academic and administrative questions, including course recommendations, progress checks, and other co-curricular questions. They offer a unique perspective on your coursework as they have taken many of the same classes. College peer advisors are available during drop-in hours, and major peer advisor information can be found on individual department websites.
