Advising

The College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CA&ES) offers an extensive network of advising for undergraduate students, working to assist them in getting the most out of their academic experiences. Students receive general and comprehensive advising along their paths to graduation provided by faculty, staff and peer advisors.

The deadline to drop courses with a Permission to Drop (PTD) code is the last day of instruction, Thursday, June 4. If you are awaiting approval for a Late Drop petition, your petition must be reviewed by both your major advisor and the CA&ES Dean’s Office no later than 4:00 p.m. on the 4th to ensure that your petition is processed on time. Please contact the appropriate offices for assistance with these steps. 

If you are unable to complete the late drop process by the deadline, please schedule an appointment via our appointment system or join us for drop-in advising to discuss your options with an advisor. The CA&ES Dean’s Office will be hosting Spring Study Break from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9. Come to Study Break to get snacks and connect with advisors! Drop-in advising with staff

A quick 15 minute appointment to answer basic advising questions, such as:
- Preliminary degree checks
- GE, college, or university requirements
- Schedule changes
- Declaring a major or minor
- How to request a late drop
- Commencement/graduation events

*Note: UAP advisors support questions regarding college and university requirements. If you have questions about major requirements, please meet with your major advisor.
