The Resnick Agricultural Innovation Research Fund brings together experts from across disciplines at UC Davis to focus research on California’s iconic specialty crops. Currently investigators are pursuing research in finding more ways to use agricultural byproducts and developing next generation technologies to expand access to nutritious food.
The fund promotes cross-collaboration and strengthens the network among research faculty, agricultural producers, food companies, pharmaceutical companies, commodity boards, and other key stakeholders. Beginning in 2023, competitive research grants were awarded annually to UC Davis faculty and Cooperative Extension specialists focused on identifying value-added properties in pistachio, almond and pomegranate byproducts.
