Philanthropic support

for Aggie Jumpstart

Student's Success is Our Priority

Launched in 2019, Aggie Jumpstart was created to promote inclusive academic excellence and student success, increase retention and address the systemic barriers that many first generation, low-income and underserved students experience. The program provides students with greater access to advisors, leadership and service opportunities, which are incredibly impactful for student retention and creating a sense of community and belonging.

The Power of Philanthropy

Philanthropic support has been critical to achieving the successful outcomes of the Aggie Jumpstart program. Donor engagement remains vital—gifts support staff coordination, student programming and leadership initiatives which help foster development and community building while empowering students through targeted and impactful programs.

We thank our donors, the Provost’s Office and the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences for financial support of this program. Our students inspire us every day—they make our community and our world better, and we are proud of them and their successes.”

Strengthening Student Outcomes

Since the program began, we’ve seen enhanced academic outcomes among our Aggie Jumpstart participants in comparison to non-participants, including:

  • Greater student retention from first year to second year
  • Higher GPAs at the end of first year
  • Fewer students experiencing academic difficulty
  • More academic units completed overall
  • Improved graduation rates
More than 200 applications yielded 65-70 students for the 2024-25 cohort!
