*France- Institut Agro- Associates of Institut Agro came to UC Davis to expand on the existing collaboration with the campus, as well as explore opportunities regarding scientific and educational projects that will boost partnership.
*Philippines- University of the Philippines, Los Baños- A delegation visited CA&ES to learn more about research programs and centers as a potential area of internship, and collaborate on partnership opportunities.
*Philippines- University of the Philippines, Los Baños- The chancellor of UPLB, along with his associates, visited UCD to meet with faculty involved in innovation and entrepreneurship programs to learn successful methodologies for startup development and incubation management/ technology commercialization.
*Vietnam- Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam- Executives of Vietnam's MARD met with Global Affairs and CA&ES to learn about the advancement in the US cultivation technology, farming management systems, and food safety hygiene standards.
2019
*China- Sino-US Food and Agriculture Innovation Center (SUFAIC) of Weifang- Participated in discussions to report the collaborations with UC Davis in the last three years, and to discuss the next steps in potential collaborative projects.
*China- Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences- The Academy of Agricultural Planning and Engineering of CAAS came to UC Davis to learn about American vegetable water-saving irrigation technology and greenhouse vegetable production technology.
*Egypt- Various Agricultural Universities- In regards to the Higher education exchange program.
*France- INRA- Met with UC Davis faculty to discuss relationships between INRA and UC Davis, hopefully creating collaboration.
*France- SupAgro- Came to collaborate on the student exchange agreement between SupAgro and CAES, as well as discuss fields of interest for student exchange.
*India- Cornell University and Sathguru Management Consultants- Came to learn about education and agricultural systems, especially those in California.
*India- USDA New Delhi- Primary goal for their visit was to introduce dairy fodder users to the benefits of using US alfalfa hay in a balanced ration for dairy cow nutrition.
*Japan- Niigata University- Came to UC Davis to learn the expertise in education and research being done at the Department of Viticulture & Enology. They were also interested in introducing their three-party collaboration (Niigata Prefecture, the Niigata Sake Brewers Association, and Niigata University) regarding Sakeology and activities of the Sakeology Center Niigata University (SCNU).
*Kenya- Kenya Plant Health Inspectorate Service (KEPHIS)- Training and exposure of variety characterization, certification and seed testing, with specific focus on pulses, sorghum and millets.
*Korea- Department of Eco-Friendly Agriculture- Goal was to learn more about the production of high quality rice and its distribution in California.
*Korea- National College of Agriculture & Fisheries- Objective was to learn more about research happening within UC Davis that addresses how the agricultural industry is adapting to climate change.
*Kazakhstan- Smart Agriculture- To learn more about innovative agriculture and new methods for sustainability.
*Scotland- University of Edinburgh- Explored wider collaborations with UC Davis on veterinary science and agriculture & environmental sciences.
*Tanzania- Dabaga Institute of Agriculture- A delegation from the Dagaba Institute of Agriculture came to participate in discussions with the Departments of Plant and Animal Sciences. Their primary goal was to learn about current resources and technologies that are being used at UC Davis to increase animal and farm products. They also worked on collaborating with UC Davis.
*Thailand- Maejo University- Came to UC Davis to discuss possible collaboration and to consider working agreements between Maejo University and UC Davis. Their particular areas of interest were bee research, cannabis pollination, and other cannabis research being conducted at UC Davis.
*World Trade Center- Kazakhstan- Came to learn more about research happening within UC Davis that addresses how the agricultural industry is adapting to climate change. Another area of interest was sustainable agriculture.
*World Trade Center- Multi-Regional within Europe- To analyze the political, social, environmental and economic forces that influence U.S. agricultural trade policies and Asses how federal, regional and local programs for agricultural research, inspection, trade
2018
*Brazil- Communicating for Agriculture Exchange Programs (CAEP)/DOW- To meet with faculty and staff of Plant Sciences to discuss technology, equipment, software and genetics.
*Chile- UC Davis Chile Center- Came to Davis to learn about available trellis systems and net protection systems, as well as explore the market on wire products.
*China- China Agricultural University- Professor from CAU came to meet with related professors in CA&ES to discuss further academic collaborations with soil sciences, food systems and agricultural management.
*China- Hunan Agricultural University, Northeast Agricultural University and Shenyang Agricultural University- The Chinese Extension Alliance Delegation met with UCANR to learn more about their extension programs.
*China- Sino-US Food and Agriculture Innovation Center (SUFAIC) of Weifang- To summarize cooperation with UC Davis from the past two years, and facilitate new programs for the future.
*China- Zhejiang University- To deepen existing collaboration in food and environmental sciences and explore further opportunities for cooperation.
*Italy- Federalimentare, Young Entrepreneurs- To get acquainted with UC Davis research and to get inspired to innovate in the food and sustainability sectors.
*Kazakhstan- Seifullin Kazakh Agrotechnical University (KATU)- Primary goal was to sign an extension of the Agreement of Cooperation between KATU and UC Davis, as well as enhance cooperation in the field of Smart Agriculture technologies.
*Moldova- National Office for Vine and Wine of Republic of Moldova- To bring global awareness and lessons from the California region as it pertains to wine production.
*South Asia- International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center (CIMMYT)- Main purpose was to explore collaborations with UC Davis.
*South Korea- National Institute of Animal Science- To study and learn education and agricultural systems, particularly those within California.
*Vietnam- Nong Lam University- Participated in meetings regarding the AUN Quality Assurance Assessment of the Advanced Program in Food Technology, which was developed in cooperation with UC Davis.
2017
*Albania- Albanian Minister of Agriculture- To meet with faculty from CA&ES to discuss collaborations.
*Brazil- Universidade de São Paulo- To explore further collaborations with CA&ES and UC Davis.
*Cambodia- Undersecretary of State- To complete a tour of learning, funded by the Asian Development Bank.
*Canada- McGill University- Their mission was to gain a better understanding of agricultural research and educational landscaping happening at UC Davis.
*Candada- University of Alberta- To meet with CA&ES and Global Affairs to discuss potential collaboration.
*China- Jiangsu Office of Foreign Affairs- Primary goal was to discuss cultural exchanges between UC Davis and entities within China.
*China- Liaoning Academy of Agricultural Sciences- To exchange information about the research progress of horticultural science, and have discussion on the future collaboration in the fields of breeding and cultivation technologies of flowers, fruits and vegetables.
*China- Shandong Department of Agriculture Tree Fruit Extension Division- To learn about modern tree fruit production systems and management techniques.
*China- Sino-US Food and Agriculture Innovation Center (SUFAIC) of Weifang- Interested in getting to know about UC Davis and it's capacity in food science and engineering research, as well as identify potential collaborators.
*China- Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences (ZAAS)- Discussion of opportunities for student mobility and training and technology transfer and commercialization within CA&ES.
*Czech Republic- Prague- To discuss with CA&ES and Global Affairs in regards to collaborations within the two entities.
*Ethiopia- Ethiopian Deans of Agriculture- The main purpose of their visit was to learn about the LGU system and to examine ways for their colleges to increase their capacity.
*Japan- Tokyo University of Agriculture- Participated in meetings with Global Affairs to discuss the development of an AOC as well as a working agreement between UC Davis and Tokyo University of Agriculture.
*Japan- The University of Tsukuba- To discuss future collaboration on tomato research, as well as propose the sharing of information of tomato genetic resources.
*Mexico- Univedrsidad Tecnologica del Norte de Aguascalientes- Participated in meetings to discuss cooperation between the two universities to promote educational programs in the area of viticulture.
*Netherlands- Wageningen University and Research Center- To discuss potential collaboration between the two entities.
*Philippines- Commission on Higher Education- To discuss the status of inter-institutional collaborations between Philippine and California based HEIs.
*Philippines- University of Southern Mindanao- To visit the winery project of UC Davis, as well as meet experts on precision farming and smart agriculture.
*Korea- Government Officers of Agriculture and Economy- to discuss various topics within the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.
*Thailand- Consul General's Office- To meet with various entities at UC Davis.
*Vietnam- Center for rural Development, An Giang University- To explore research collaboration opportunities between UC Davis and An Giang University in rice sector.
