We're #1 in the Nation and #2 in the World for Agriculture and Forestry

The University of California, Davis, is ranked second in the world in veterinary science and in agriculture and forestry, according to the 2019 QS World University Rankings by subject released today (Feb. 27).

Among 48 disciplines, UC Davis ranked in the top 50 in seven. In addition to veterinary science and agriculture and forestry, they are environmental sciences (15th), anatomy and physiology (38th), biological sciences (42nd), earth and marine sciences (36th), and developmental studies (21st).

The University of California, Davis, continues to be ranked first in the world in veterinary science and second in agriculture and forestry, according to the 2018 QS World University Rankings by subject released today (Feb. 28).

UC Davis 1st in World for Plant and Animal Sciences

UC Davis scores first in programs for plant and animal sciences in U.S. News and World Report’s “Best Global Universities” report issued Monday (Oct. 24).

The rankings, which focus on overall research and academic reputation, rather than specific undergraduate or graduate programs, show UC Davis second in the world in agricultural sciences, and fourth in environment and ecology.

The annual GreenMetric rankings by the University of Indonesia moved UC Davis up one spot from its No. 4 ranking a year earlier. It is now behind only the University of Nottingham in England and the University of Connecticut.

This makes four out of the past five years that UC Davis has been among the top five in the environmental magazine’s evaluation of sustainability efforts at U.S. colleges and universities. UC Davis was the No. 1 “Cool School” in 2012.

For the third year in a row, UC Davis tops global list of agriculture and forestry.

This is the third consecutive year that UC Davis has been ranked first in agriculture and forestry by QS.

For the second consecutive year, the University of California, Davis, ranks No. 1 in the world for teaching and research in the area of agriculture and forestry, according to rankings released by QS World University Rankings.
