The College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences has several programs in the college and at the departmental level to promote academic success and provide opportunities for building community and gaining valuable leadership skills. Aggie Jumpstart Aggie Jumpstart (AJS) is a CA&ES program in partnership with the Retention Center created to promote inclusive academic excellence and student success through community building, leadership and advising. |
Aggie Ambassadors Since 1998, the Aggie Ambassadors have taken an active role in the outreach and promotion of all the majors within the college. Members of the Aggie Ambassadors work to improve their leadership development and communication skills by participating in student panels, college workshops, and by assisting in events around the campus. |
Career Discovery Groups Career Discovery Groups (CDG), a partnership between the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and the Career Center, gives first year and first-year transfer students an opportunity to explore career possibilities and make academic choices for future success. |
DIRECT Program Open to all, the overarching goal of the DIRECT program is to strengthen aspirations and lower barriers to academic success for students, focusing on AHN populations and women in the field of applied and agricultural economics to better serve California communities. |
MANRRS MANRRS promotes academic and professional advancement by empowering all students—including many with underserved experiences—in agriculture, natural resources and related sciences. |
