CA&ES Congratulates Three Staff Members for Their Outstanding Contributions
Three staff members with the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CA&ES) are being recognized for their exceptional efforts to help incoming and current students thrive. Thanks to their tireless dedication and guidance, they have ensured a brighter future for those they serve.
Congratulations to the following recipients of the UC Davis Outstanding Advising Awards:
- Outstanding Staff Advisor: Erica Cefalo, advisor with the Departments of Wildlife, Fish and Conservation Biology and Environmental Toxicology.
- Outstanding Advising Mentor Award: Emma Martinez, advisor in the Animal Science Advising Center.
- Outstanding Campus Collaborator: Vanessa Talavera, outreach and recruitment coordinator with the CA&ES Undergraduate Academic Programs.
“We are thrilled that the contributions of Erica, Emma and Vanessa are being recognized by the campus for their contributions to student success,” said Sue Ebeler, associate dean of CA&ES Undergraduate Academic Programs. “They excel in creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for our students and are committed to creating a strong, collaborative network of support for students and colleagues alike across our college and campus.”
The advising awards are given out annually by the UC Davis Office of Undergraduate Education. Recipients are chosen based on nominations that highlight the excellent work they do with students, faculty and the community.
