Richard and Evelyne Rominger to Receive the UC Davis Medal

Alumni Richard and Evelyne Rominger, will receive the highest honor the university presents to an individual.

“Rich and Evelyne Rominger have given generously to UC Davis of their time, talents and resources,” Hexter said.  “Their loyalty and passion for seeing students flourish and their alma mater grow and prosper is an inspiration for all of us in the Aggie family.”

 

The Romingers, who live in Winters, will speak June 10 during the 9 a.m. commencement ceremony of the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.

Science Research Fellowships Winners

3 Watershed Women receive their science research fellowships

Ann Willis is the recipient of the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship­—a program dedicated to helping ensure the vitality and diversity of the scientific and engineering workforce of the United States. The program recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students who are pursuing research-based master's and doctoral degrees in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM), as well as STEM education.

STAR Award Winners

Two staff members from the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences were among 10 individuals and one team named as winners of the 2015 Chancellor’s STAR Awards (STAR stands for Staff Appreciation and Recognition). The STAR awards are given to staffers who have gone “above and beyond” in support of the campus’s core values. The two award winners from CA&ES are:

Davis alumnus receives Agricultural Sustainability Leadership Award.

Daniel Mountjoy, director of Resource Stewardship at Sustainable Conservation and a UC Davis alumnus, is this year's recipient of Eric Bradford and Charlie Rominger Agricultural Sustainability Leadership Award, presented by the Agricultural Sustainability Institute at UC Davis.
